The Eighteen Speed Kayak

    Find out how the tricks of cyclists can easily extend a paddlers day on the water.  Cyclists change the gears of their bikes, and paddlers can change their paddle or their
    rotation to adapt to the changing weather conditions.  In lecture part of the course, everyone will get a chance learn more about how to refine their rotation and use
    several types of paddles in the open water.  In the masters’ class, paddlers will put into practice the theories discussed and end their day with a better understanding on
    how changing a paddle or their rotation will improve their enjoyment and safety on the water.

Kayak Camping – pack and camp like a king verse going primitive

    Camp like a king verse going primitive.  See the entertaining realities of both styles of getting out and enjoying an overnight trip.  In addition, discover how every person
    can benefit from a multi day trip on the water.  Paddlers will get an entertaining overview of why kayaking is what you make it.  Discover the cool high technical and low
    tech kayaking gear that works for our needs of comfort verse our needs of roughing it and see how it all gets packed into the kayak.

Kayak Cooking – cook like a chef verse eating nuts and berries

    The Sean and Jeff show will discuss the benefits of different high tech and low tech cooking styles.  Participate in the comical antics of these two cooks.  Watch and
    learn as they use high tech and every day cooking methods to whip up easy and tasty foods that will impress your paddling mates and give you the energy to realize your
    paddling goals.  Paddlers will end the class by sampling the tasty high-energy foods that these kayak chefs cooked during class.

Kayaking Etiquette and Surfing Etiquette

    In the paddling community the theory of coexisting with motor boats always comes up.  This topic is more volatile than talking about politics, religion, and sex.  Very few
    people ever agree with a common solution.  So what are we to do?  Well take this class and find out.

Traditional Greenland Kayak Paddles are for Everyone Course Information
    The $30 per audience member fee is payable upon booking of the date.
    This lecture class imparts knowledge about the history of kayaking and the relevance of that history to modern disciplines in the sport, and emphasizes on effective boat
    control with a narrow-bladed paddle.  There are several traditional techniques that can enhance paddling performance of a kayak by the use of a traditional qajaq
    paddle.  The audience will learn about the quiet glide and how the Greenland paddle reduces fatigue, decreases a potential of developing tendonitis or tenosynovitis,
    and is generally nice to the muscular-skeletal system of the human body.

Understanding the Water and Understanding the Surf

    The water has a beautiful language.  Learn how to read and understand what the water is trying to tell a paddler.  At the end of the class students will increase their
    safety knowledge and enjoy the glide along the water's meandering trails, swells, open water crossings, and surf landings.

    Sean Fitzgibbon is a national recognized professional surfer who has taken his obsession with the ocean and turned it into a guiding force to bring the joy of water to all land
    lovers.  Sean now kayaks and has gained the respect of several famous kayak instructors.  Jeff Fabiszewski is an ACA certified BCK Instructor, a member of the BCU and of
    Qajaq USA.  He has combined his early childhood love of the outdoors and love of history into attaining national sponsorships with Necky Kayaks, and Tuktu Paddles.  Together
    they make kayak instruction and trips into memorably experiences available to all people.  This results in the Sean and Jeff Show in being guest guides, instructors, and writers
