Brent Suto is a true Tampa Bay Florida fishing native; born and raised right
here in Clearwater, Florida. He spent most of his childhood at his mother’s
horse farm in the then undeveloped area of Palm Harbor. As Brent grew up,
he started to venture out on his own, exploring in the woods, riding his bike,
building pond-side fishing forts with friends, and fishing out of the old family
canoe. It was here that Brent discovered that he truly loved fishing! As much
as he enjoyed fishing for largemouth bass and panfish, freshwater was just not
challenging enough. As a young teen, Brent wanted to try as many different
types of fishing that he possibly could, fishing inshore to far offshore with his
stepfather at every opportunity.
From his high school days to present, Brent’s adventures have taken him from
a mate’s position aboard the Gulf charter boat, the “Daisy Mae II” to fishing the
Hawaiian Islands for billfish all the way to the walleye lakes of the north
continental U.S.
Though he keeps hours at Osprey Bay Outdoors, Brent’s preferred office is
somewhere between Tarpon Springs and Clearwater where you might find
him paddling his Ocean Kayak, “Prowler 13” dialed in and hooked up. As a
local native, Brent’s insider knowledge of the Pinellas inshore fishing scene is
second to none.
