Essentials of  Kayak Touring
The ACA Essentials of Kayak Touring is a class that teaches beginner paddlers to safely
and enjoyably kayak on lakes, rivers, calm protected ocean environments, and other flat
water settings.  At the end of class students will have also learned how to preform rescues
and how to plan their own trips safely.

What to Bring
Bring your own paddle, sit on top or sit in side kayak, spray skirt, and PFD, or let us know
if you need equipment.  Dress comfortably, bring layers appropriate to the day's weather,
a towel, and a change of clothes.   Participants should bring a picnic lunch.  Other handy
items include a water bottle, sun block, and a strap for glasses.

Course Fee
The $100 course fee ($110 for non-ACA members) is payable upon registration.  This
amount includes instruction, insurance, resource materials, and snacks and beverages
    during breaks.
It does not include all equipment; rental fees may apply for boats.
